Introduction
The Center for Technology & Training (CTT) is committed to protecting your privacy. The CTT has established this Privacy Policy as an overview of the manner in which we collect and use customer information and the efforts used to protect it.
Customer Information Use
The CTT doesn’t collect personal information from customers. The CTT does collect customer contact information for internal use only. Any payment information that is collected is done so via a secure connection on a dedicated computer connected only to Michigan Technological University’s payment processing service Touchnet. Touchnet’s End User Privacy Notice can be found at https://www.touchnet.com/end-user-privacy-notice. We will not sell, trade, or provide customer information to any third parties.
Third Parties
The CTT does not share customer information with any third party.
Confidentiality and Security
The CTT takes reasonable steps to ensure that your information is protected. The CTT Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is an industry standard that uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption when collecting and storing customer contact information. The CRM is only accessible to those within the organization that have a reasonable need to access the information to manage customer contact information, and to communicate with customers regarding CTT events, trainings, or software.
Compliance
This Privacy Policy complies with industry best practice guidelines and with California's Privacy Protection Act of 2004. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy please contact us by using the information provided below.
Communication Preferences
The Center for Technology & Training (CTT) uses Mailchimp as its mass email communication platform. Mailchimp is an industry-standard email service designed to support the efficient management and distribution of CTT-related communications while providing recipients with the ability to manage their email communication preferences.
CTT customers who provide contact information through event registration or other CTT activities may be added to email distribution lists corresponding to the events, topics, programs, or software for which they have registered or expressed an interest. These lists are used to provide relevant and timely communications based on the customer's relationship with or interest in CTT programs and services.
CTT may use Mailchimp to distribute event-related information, notifications regarding upcoming events, newsletters, software update notifications, and other communications concerning CTT activities, programs, and services.
Recipients may manage their email communication preferences or unsubscribe from applicable mailing lists in accordance with the options provided through Mailchimp. Customers may continue to receive certain administrative or transactional communications when necessary to support an event, service, or other CTT-related activity.
CTT takes reasonable measures to protect customer contact information and uses Mailchimp solely as a platform for managing and distributing authorized CTT communications. Mailchimp does not share customer data with third parties. The Mailchimp Privacy Statement can be found at https://www.intuit.com/privacy/statement/.
